World Stage Design 2025 is happy to announce the appointment of Dgrade, a leading sustainable clothing manufacturer, to provide eco-friendly merchandise. Dgrade creates high-quality garments and accessories using Greenspun™ yarn, which is produced from recycled plastic bottles. By turning waste into wearable fabric, Dgrade's process helps reduce harmful impacts on the environment. Compared to traditional polyester, Greenspun™ production saves 55% in CO2 emissions, 50% in energy, and 20% in water, all without using oil.

Sound Kitchen is an opportunity for sound designers and composers who work in all forms of sound and performance to publicly present or perform their work in a listening-friendly space at World Stage Design 2025 in Sharjah.

Sound Kitchen draws on and builds an inclusive international community amongst sound designers and is an opportunity for designers to learn about current trends and methods being used by other designers around the world. It is also a fun and enjoyable event for World Stage Design attendees and is an opportunity for non-sound people to learn about sound design. Sound Kitchen will sit in a wider program of sound events at World Stage Design.

WSD 25 is delighted to announce its partnership with Goumbook, a company dedciated to accelerating Sustainability and Climate Action. For every ticket purchased to attend World Stage Design in Sharjah, a mangrove will be planted in Al Zorah Mangove Nature Reserve, Ajman. Mangroves stabilize coastlines, provide essential habitat for diverse marine life, and removes carbon from the environment, making them crucial for coastal protection, biodiversity conservation, and climate change mitigation. The UAE Government Goal is to plant 100 million mangrove trees by 2030. Watch this space for our mangrove adventures and how to get involved.

The Theatre Green Book is a free resource to support people in theatre and live events in making their work more sustainable. After being granted the license to produce the first Arabic translation we’re looking forward to its launch at World Stage Design 2025.
